SKC Haas Display Films. A new name, but you’ve known us for years. SKC and Rohm and Haas Company have come together to create SKC Haas Display Films, a premier display films company. We have taken the best of SKC’s Display Films business and Rohm and Haas Company’s Flat Panel Display Technologies business, and have combined them under a new global joint venture that will develop and manufacture highly advanced films and materials for the LCD and plasma display industry.

SKC has over 30 years of film production and coating experience, and is a market leader in optical grade PET. Since 1998, SKC has been a major supplier to the flat panel market. We have been a pioneer in high performance LCD films, including diffusers and reflective films. In recent years, SKC has introduced new materials for plasma display panels (PDP), including new filters, and color millbase for TFT-LCDs. We operate world class manufacturing facilities in Cheonan, Korea and Suzhou, China.

Rohm and Haas Company and its Electronic Materials business bring nearly 100 years of innovation and global manufacturing capabilities in the specialty chemicals and electronics industries. We are one of the world’s largest suppliers of advanced chemistries and materials used in semiconductors, circuit boards, flat panel displays, and consumer and industrial electronic devices. And with our recent acquisition of Eastman Kodak Company’s Light Management Films division, we have added impressive new display technologies to our portfolio.
